Before leaving the car

Sentry monitors the situation around the locked car in the Park position. Check his condition immediately before leaving: the mode is turned off by default, and saved exceptions for home, work and favorite places can change habitual behavior. Switching the icon is valid until the next trip; disconnection through settings can last longer.

Check the drive

For video recording, you need a prepared USB drive and Dashcam enabled. Without the drive, the car is able to send an alert, but there will be no record of the event. Before the trip: make sure that the drive is recognized, and open one previously saved roller in the parking lot.

Set realistic expectations

Notification to the phone does not come with every recorded episode: the system distinguishes between events and threats. Sentry increases energy consumption and stops working when switching to Low Power Mode. For long-term parking, evaluate the charge reserve in advance and think about the safety of the parking space separately.

Keep in mind: Sentry does not detect all threats; consider local restrictions on camera use.
