Sources and editorial policy

Volt is an independent Tesla journal and service directory for owners in Europe. Its Russian and English editions cover the same subjects.

How we prepare articles

We describe events in our own words, link to the original sources and explain what they mean in practice. We qualify feature availability by country, hardware and software version. An announcement or the start of testing does not mean a feature is available to every owner.

Automation and editorial review

Dated Tesla news and reports from specialist sources may be published automatically after the precise source page and its claims have been checked. We identify specialist observations as observations, cite their source and do not present them as Tesla confirmation. We do not publish material without an accessible source or a verifiable date. Explanatory guides are marked as editorial content.

Directory and advertising

Directory information comes from providers’ websites; each listing shows when it was checked. Inclusion does not guarantee service quality. Paid placements are labelled separately. Payment cannot confer Tesla-authorised status or influence editorial conclusions.

Referral link

The buying guide includes the author’s Tesla referral link. The author may receive a benefit for a qualifying purchase. Tesla determines eligibility and benefits; we do not promise a fixed discount. The short link /tesla takes you to Tesla’s website.

Visitor data

Contact forms and newsletter subscriptions are not currently open. No sign-in is required to read the site. In the service directory we count catalogue and profile views, plus clicks to a provider’s website, phone and directions. Aggregates can be compared with the country and city already selected in the catalogue or shown on the page. Clicks do not confirm an enquiry, booking or purchase. Tesla referral visits are counted separately. To detect repeat provider visits, the application temporarily stores a hash of a random 30-minute session cookie and the time of a counted visit; expired entries are deleted on the next counter or report request. The directory event data does not retain IP addresses, full User-Agent strings, search text or precise location. A session is not a person and filtering can be wrong; if cookies are disabled, repeat visits may be counted again. Test visits are marked and excluded from reports. Provider links identify voltgid.com as the referral source. Public pages use Cloudflare Web Analytics for page views, referral sources and load speed; test sessions and editor pages are excluded. See Cloudflare’s documentation. The host processes technical request data to deliver and protect the site.

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 and our own service-directory analytics. Until you accept, the Google Analytics tag does not load and directory events are not sent. Your choice is saved in your browser and can be changed through “Analytics settings” in the footer.
