Navigation: destinations, map and sound
Check the destination and set up route guidance before leaving.

Check the destination
In Model 3 2017-2023 and 2024+, the address can be found on the screen, transmitted from the phone through the Tesla app or called a voice. Before starting, check the selected location and route overview. For an airport or a large complex, specify the desired terminal: the name of the entire facility may not be accurate enough.
Return the map to the car view
After manually moving the card, tracking your position is turned off. Tap the orientation icon and select the direction of travel or north on top to return to tracking. This is a useful first check if the card stopped following the car after searching for a spot nearby.
Set up guidance
Navigation volume is adjusted separately from music and calls in Navigation settings. Check to turn off the sound if the route is visible but the prompt is not audible; during a phone call, they also turn off. The satellite layer and some additional information require Premium Connectivity, and the set of settings depends on the region.
Practical example
Travel to the airport with several terminals
An airport name is not enough if the entrance and parking are distributed between the terminals. Check the route before starting.
- Enter a specific terminal or parking address and check the endpoint on the map.
- Open the route overview and see the charge forecast for arrival. If you need a charging stop, check it before you leave.
- If, after viewing the map, she stopped following the car, tap the orientation icon and return tracking.
Keep in mind: Check the address and change complex settings before driving; the map does not replace road observation.
