Hot weather: cool the cabin and plan parking

Pre-cooling and choosing a parking spot help reduce discomfort and energy consumption.

Cool the cabin before getting in

Run the cooling through the app in advance or set a time to be ready for departure. After a long stay in the sun, the salon may need a noticeable time. Check the actual temperature, not just the fact of sending the command. The seat heating settings are also worth checking if they are left over from a cool morning.

Reduce heat while parked

If possible, choose shade and use a suitable sunscreen. If charged, leave the car connected, especially when pre-cooling or overheating protection is used. Before a long absence, check the connection conditions and charge: cooling requires energy even from a stationary car.

Allow the car to precondition

When navigating to the Supercharger, the battery is prepared for charging in hot weather. A separate training report may not appear, so its absence does not mean that the system is inactive. In long-term parking, reduce unnecessary status checks in the app: waking up the car increases your usual energy consumption.

Keep in mind: Before landing, assess the cabin temperature yourself; the sent cooling command has not yet confirmed the result.
