Camp Mode: staying in a parked car
Camp Mode keeps climate control and power outlets on, but changes security and locking behaviour.
Guide updated 2 Oct 2026 · revision 1
Choose a safe parking spot
Camp Mode is designed to stay inside a parked car. It maintains the temperature, leaves the screen accessible and allows the devices to be powered via USB and a low-voltage outlet. Choose a safe place, turn on Park and check the mode before you take a vacation with connected appliances.
Check doors and security
When Camp Mode is running, Sentry and car alarms are turned off. Automatic locking at a distance from the car also does not work. Therefore, check in advance how the doors are closed, and do not count on the usual scenario of leaving with a phone in your pocket. The mode is not designed to protect an empty car.
Allow for energy use
The climate consumes energy, so with a low charge, it is better to postpone or organize charging. Camp Mode is not available in Low Power Mode. Watch for temperature and charge; turning off the climate through the app ends the mode. Move the installation to the time when Camp Mode is turned off.
Keep in mind: Never leave your child unattended; do not use Camp Mode in a bad climate.
