Tesla renames the original Summon feature “Dumb Summon” in Europe

Tesla uses the Dumb Summon name for the previous function of driving the car forward or backward through the app. This is a change in terminology, not a new function.

Region: Europe; availability depends on country and configuration.
Models: Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y – only compatible cars.
Not a Tesla App; Tesla’s current European reference independently confirms the name and function used.

The profile resource Not a Tesla App on October 10 reported that on the European pages of Tesla the former function Summon was called Dumb Summon. A check of Tesla's UK help confirms this name: the feature moves the car forward or backward from a cramped place via a mobile app. It is part of the Tesla Assisted Driving Basic and requires owner control; availability depends on the vehicle, software, country and regulatory conditions. Renaming does not mean a new feature or standalone mode.
