Find the correct button

In Model 3 2017-2023, the team is started by pressing and releasing the right wheel. The Model 3 2024+ manual specifies a separate microphone button on the right. Wait for the signal and make a request. Do not tolerate the method of clicking from the instructions of another generation, even if the other settings are similar.

Choose a language and task

Recognition is defined in Controls → Display → Voice Recognition Language. Check the available options in your car; a Russian-language reference does not mean Russian recognition in any configuration. Start with a simple query for climate, navigation or music and check the result.

Keep commands short

If recognition is wrong, reformulate the request with a specific object: for example, specify both the artist and the name of the song. Individual teams are only available in Park. Practice in the parking lot: pre-explored queries are more useful than a long conversation with the system, when the traffic situation already requires attention.

Keep in mind: In case of recognition error, do not be distracted by prolonged correction during movement.
