Tesla rebrands FSD in Europe as Tesla Assisted Driving

On October 8, Tesla announced that it was changing the European name of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) to Tesla Assisted Driving (TAD). The current Tesla support page already uses that name and distinguishes Tesla Assisted Driving Basic and Tesla Assisted Driving separately. For the latter, Tesla lists the Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Belgium, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Croatia. This is not a pan-European launch: availability depends on vehicle registration in an approved country, configuration, hardware, software version and regulatory approval. The system requires constant driver attention and does not make the car autonomous. The date of the change on the Tesla page is not specified, so the note is left for editorial review.
